Our area is also known for its natural beauty and attracts visitors from across Australia. With the famous Pyrenees ranges within easy reach and sharing award-winning wineries such as Bigabila and Summerfield, worth a visit. I also know first-hand that our region is ideal for cycling – road and off-road.
In fact, we’re looking forward to the proposed rail trail that will gain local interest as well as attract visitors from everywhere. Although our town is small, compared to big cities with just over 8,000 residents, it punches above its weight.
Maryborough is a very walkable town, one hour from Ballarat and Bendigo and a critical two hours from Melbourne, making Maryborough a desirable location for relocation, especially for Melbournites, many of whom are returning to their roots.
